Joe Cullen, born in Bradford, England, in 1989, is a well-known PDC player nicknamed "The Rockstar." Unlike many other professional darts players, he played directly in PDC tournaments without first participating in the British Darts Organisation.
Cullen's professional career began at the UK Open in 2008. Although The Rockstar did not win anything significant in his early days, he showed the eagerness of a youngster by winning three consecutive titles on the Youth Tour in 2011. In 2017, Cullen entered the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit for the first time and secured his first-ever tournament victory by defeating Daryl Gurney in the final of Players Championship No. 8. In 2019, he also won the European Darts Matchplay. He set his personal best record at the PDC World Darts Championship in 2021—a stunning 34 180s in 35 sets. It should be noted that he made his big breakthrough in 2022 when Cullen won his first major tournament with victory at the Masters 2022. Since then, he has maintained a high standard, reaching the semi-finals of the World Matchplay and the World Grand Prix in 2023.
