Daryl Gurney is an excellent darts player from Northern Ireland, nicknamed "Superchin." He started playing darts at the age of ten and became a professional player in 2004. Initially, he joined the BDO, but switched to the PDC in 2012.

Gurney reached the final of the 2009 WDF Europe Cup and made it to the last sixteen of the BDO World Championship. In 2012, he won the England Masters, Tom Kirby Memorial Trophy, and the Northern Ireland Open consecutively. Thanks to these brilliant performances, he successfully transitioned to the PDC and competed in the second year at the PDC World Championship.

In the following years, Gurney continued to develop steadily. His first major title was winning the World Grand Prix in 2017. In the same year, he also reached the quarter-finals of the PDC World Championship, proving himself to be a strong contender in top tournaments. In 2018, Superchin continued this success, defeating Van Gerwen in the Players Championship Finals, further demonstrating his strength. In 2019, he again won the German Darts Championship. This victory placed Daryl Gurney at number 3 in the world rankings, his highest position to date. Since then, he has maintained his high level of performance. At the Players Championship in 2023, he achieved a magnificent performance with a nine-dart finish. In 2025, Gurney, together with Josh Rock, won the World Cup of Darts , adding another title to his career.

Over the years, he has repeatedly reached the final stages of important tournaments while also attracting attention with his strong scoring.
